BUILDING COMMUNITY CHARACTER THROUGH FAMILY EDUCATION SAFETY AT HOME TEAM OF HUMANITARIAN AMBASSADOR PGRI WEST SUMATRA
Abstract
Teenagers are the spearhead in the development and progress of a nation, and play a role in inheriting culture. In an effort to meet the needs of understanding cognitively, behaving, making decisions and being confident and preventing juvenile delinquency that behaves arrogantly needs to be addressed in accordance with Presidential Decree No. 87 of 2021 concerning strengthening character education, it is necessary to have youth assistance in activities, especially in youth activities related to mosques. The goal to be achieved is the formation of Islamic character for adolescents. While the method used is assisting youth activities accompanied by socialization of the material being explained. Community service is carried out through several stages of socialization activities, discussions, and case studies. As well as through self-reflection activities of each participant. Thus it can strengthen the Islamic character of youth which is based on Islamic values, norms and morals in accordance with the teachings of Islam. Furthermore, assistance is carried out in activities in the environment that play an important role in inculcating Islamic character in the process of adolescent development, because the environment in which adolescents are processed requires support from all levels of society.
