TECHNICAL GUIDANCE IN WRITING THE HISTORY OF NAGARI GUNUNG MEDAN DISTRICT DHARMASRAYA

Abstract

Technical guidance on writing the history of the Gunung Medan nagari is important so that the younger generation knows the history of their regional nagari. This technical guidance was provided to employees of the Wali Nagari, Wali Jorong, and youth offices in the Gunung Mendan nagari area. Writing history is important because it remembers old community figures. This writing technique guidance aims to ensure that historical writing is written in accordance with methodologically correct historical writing methods. Writing this history is very important so that the local wisdom of the community is maintained and the younger generation will understand the history of the nagari and oral stories from their own region. Nagari Gunung Medan as a national level tourist village must have a valid nagari history and folklore or folklore that has existed for a long time so that it is not lost in the community of nagari Gunung Medan. The method of implementing this activity is carried out to provide solutions in order to overcome partner problems. Through needs analysis, work plans, activity implementation, and evaluation. Activities realized in this community service include: providing material about the history of Nagari Gunung Medan, Dharmasraya Regency. Based on the results of the technological guidance, description of the results and discussion of this activity, it can be concluded that by increasing public understanding of the history of Nagari Gunung Medan speech, it can raise awareness of Nagari for the younger generation in particular and society in general. It is recommended to the younger generation of the Nagari Gunung Medan community, especially the community in general, to increase their understanding and awareness of the Nagari in order to preserve the historical values of speech and traditions.
