Technological developments have had a positive impact on the world of education. One significant advance is the development of interactive learning media. With this service, it is hoped that it will provide alternatives and convenience so that teachers use social media more in learning Indonesian and students feel motivated and enthusiastic in following the lessons provided. The implementation stages are as follows; 1) One first meeting determines the material regarding the news text. 2) The next meeting provides learning media on several themes which are expected to shape character and change behavior. Learning media will be packaged in audio-visual form. 3) Preparation of news text audio-visual learning media adapted to several themes that have been provided. The learning media provided can help students practice writing news texts. 4) Teachers can use audio-visual learning media that has been designed in such a way and is accompanied by learning instructions, especially for text writing material. The final results of the activity show that through the training carried out the teachers' competence increased in using social media in learning Indonesian. Teachers who take part in the Workshop in Padang City can use social media in learning, both Facebook, TikTok and other social media, so that students do not get bored while learning in the pandemic era.
